Mundanity

000laundryLaundry.
Piles of it.
Hills, even.

Sweaters,
Slacks,

Skirts, way too short.

Grimy.
Grungy.

Stained.

The evidence of life, well-lived.

Vibrant.
Hilarious.

Dirty!

Soiled briefs boot-skooted through agitating foam.

Sooty.
Sour.

Stanky microbian fumes pirouette,

gyrate,

dance the pole down poly pipes on their way to the sewer.

Corruption washed away by the Tide.

Detergent gifting redemption.

    • No, I can’t! I remember my mom and the wringer washer we had. We washed clothes outside in the summer time and hung them on the line to dry. Good times, but it took a lot of hours to get the job done.

Once, my kitten was on my shoulder and jumped into the dirty water basin while washing. Silly kitty! Funny memory. She looked like a drown rat when I scooped her out. LOL
